Now that Yom Kippur is behind us, Jewish people throughout the world are building their Sukka. In Israel, even non religious build them, one of the reasons why living in Israel is so important to me as a Jewish parent. My family has been working for the last few hours, building our temporary home that will entertain us for the next week. Each family takes a pride in being a building contractor, making sure his construction will be stable against heavy winds, adding lighting, and decorating in a festive manner. In Israel the chance of rain is unlikely, so there can be no better country than Israel to celebrate this wonderful holiday. So now I must return to helping my wife and children finish the Sukka. To everybody out there, have a Shabbat Shalom and Chag Sameach.
