12 Dead in Road Accidents

12 people were killed just in the last week from injuries caused by road accidents in Israel. When will it end? When will somebody responsible take the necessary actions to tame dangerous Israeli drivers? Drastic laws are needed to shock the Israeli drivers into driving safer or knowing that they will lose their cars, licences and possibly cool off  behind steel bars. Those responsible for keeping our roads safe need to be answerable to their incompetence. Roads need to be kept intact and signposts need to be properly placed and inspected regularly. If a person is negligent in his work on the roads he is putting lives at risk and should be punished harshly. After living in Israel for the past 25 years, this is the only way that the accident rate will really go down. What are we waiting for, for greedy politicians to oil their leather comfy chairs instead of calling emergency sessions in order to make war on those wicked and selfish minority that are causing Israel's roads to be more dangerous than the suicide bombers of Baghdad.

Stop the carnage on our roads now!!!!

Fallen Soldiers GirlFriends Left Alone

I watched an Israeli news article this morning about girl friends of soldiers killed in action. The Israeli army leaves these poor young women (widows) alone to deal with their dreadful loss. I was flabbergasted to hear that the army did not even allow one girl friend soldier to attend the remembrance ceremony of her fallen loved one. This problem has been left to the mercy of volunteers (this is common in Israel) who have started a help group for these sad women. In a country that has achieved so much in such a relatively short time, it is shocking that the government and the Israeli army seems to care so little about those that have died serving their country when it comes to taking care of their loved girl friends who have been left alone. These young girls are left with empty dreams and terrible feelings of loss and longing, their lives destroyed, without anyone in any official position who  seems to care or do anything to help them. A shame on Israel and its Army !

Buying a House in Buchman

This is the season when there is a mad frenzy to buy real estate in Israel. In Buchman there are many looking for good real estate at a realistic price. Its easy to be taken advantage of by eager real estate agents, hoping to earn a lump sum by offering properties at ridiculously inflated prices, and  trying to get the prices to spiral even more. Buchman is an amazing neighborhood, beautiful houses and apartments line its desirable streets. The people living in Buchman are high class, many Anglo Saxons, many religious. This means that Buchman attracts the very best variety of Israeli citizens. Buyers need to get the best advice possible in order to buy their dream home, and I feel sad that so many have to buy a second best property because they may not be getting the best possible help. If anyone reading this article is seriously interested in buying a property in Buchman, I am sure that they will never regret contacting me so that I will be able to help them achieve their dream home. So please contact me as soon as possible at http://www.bloomhousing.com/ContactUs.html

Good luck

Peres implies that Israel could nuke Iran

Shimon Peres made a statement to reuters news agency saying that if Iran means to destroy Israel, Iran to could be wiped out by Israel. An article at http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3248543,00.html has a good account about this chilling news. What is important is that Israel is a country whose people yearns for peace, but by the actions and aims of many of the Arab countries in her vicinity, Israel has to be tremendously strong and secure in order to defend herself and survive. I hope the new government in Israel will have the ability to act correctly and sensibly during these challenging and dangerous times, in order to protect the Israeli people from the wicked dreams of those yearning to wipe out Israel. I also hope for unity amongst Israelis, so that the efforts of Israel's leaders will be channelled against our enemies and not wasted on  dealing with fanatics from within, trying to divide and tear Israel apart.

Israel Remembrance Day

Israelis remember their fallen soldiers and civilians murdered by terrorism. I would like to write about a terrible tragedy that occurred not so many years ago. I am not writing names because Israel's graveyards are full of terrible and sad stories, and each victim is as important as the next.

It was Friday morning in Rishon le Zion, I had taken my 6 year old son to school. A mother had taken her six year old to that same school, she crossed the road and took her 3 year old daughter to the local kindergarten. Everyone was preparing for the Shabbat weekend. Later on that Friday, my father in law was looking out of his window in another neighbourhood of Rishon, whilst a religious family with two children were getting into a taxi to go to Jerusalem to a family Barmitzvah. At the same time the parents of the two little girls also left for Jerusalem for the same Bar Mitzvah. They were relatives of the religious family that my in laws were neighbour to.

That Saturday night a suicide bomber  blew himself up, he killed the two little girls and their parents instantly, and later on the two boys died from their terrible wounds.

How can their be such wicked people on our earth? How do you explain to a six year old such news about his classmate and her family?

Israelis from such a young age get used to hearing such unbelievably frightening and terrible things, and yet they learn to live with such agonising losses, and carry on. Tonight we shall rejoice Israel's 58th independence day, but we shall never forget that family, nor any of the thousands that have so tragically lost their lives in order that we can continue living in the land of Israel. We shall never part from our beloved Israel;  whatever our wicked and hating neighbours throw upon us we shall cope, defend and celebrate our independence !!!!
