Two days ago there was a tremendous thunder storm, my dog was very unsettled what to do?
Some dogs have fear of lightening and thunder. It is important not too make too much of a fuss, but to screen calmness in the event of thunder and lightening. Do not over fondle dogs when they are over stressed because this reinforces nervous behaviour. If dogs are left alone, try to confine them, so that they don't do any damage, and small places have a calming effect on nervous dogs. If your dog urinates on your TV or best armchiar, do not scald him for it, this would be cruel, just prevent negative behaviour by preventive planning. In Israel, rain is scarse, so be patient, for soon the winter will have pased by.
Be patient, be calm, and be kind to your dogs, for they will return your kindess with years of happiness and good memories.
